Launch 'Em

Just to let you know I invested in software and bandwidth in order to share this rare film with you. Filmed in 1956 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Hancock, Launch 'Em" celebrates the early jet and steam catapult era. This film was made while the carrier cruised home from WestPac deployment, apparently with the unofficial blessing of the Eisenhower administration. A legendary film, it disappeared from view in the early 1960s. Took me a lot of searching to find the film...eventually on a DVD collection.

High speed internet recommended. You will like this if an aviation buff.

The F9F IMHO is the most beautiful jet ever built.  Thanks for the film.
Do not attribute to malice what can be easily explained by incompetence, fear, ignorance or stupidity, because there are millions more garden variety idiots walking around in the world than there are blackhearted Machiavellis.
