generaly looking for more planes
« Reply #60 on: November 17, 2007, 04:30:00 PM »
Im surprised the KI-67 is at .26. Its to good an airplane to suffer 4 deaths for every one kill it gets.

My guess as to reasons why? 1, Guys flying it to low. 2, Guys outrunning crippled drones. 3, Running out of ammo. 4, Flying it thru conga lines straight into furballs like a fighter. 5, Never asking bombrich how to defeat belly attacks.

Next month Im going to pay attention to my Ps and Qs in it and not do anything stupid, and, shepard crippled drones home. I'll bet I can get it to 1 to 1 kills/deaths. I did some stupid stuff in it this month but the airplane is fully capable of far better then a .26.

In some ways its the most defendable bomber in the game.

Why not?

If you kill someone, you get an entry -> Kill
If you die, you get an entry too -> Death
Landing has absolutely nothing to do with it.

And my K+D is only just that: the sum of all kills and all deaths in game.

Sorry, currently I  have not enough time for that.

But all that info needed is just a click away. "Kill stats in expanded format", cut&paste it into excel or open office... ;)

It is kills in, not of.  That is where you are getting confused.

So?  I remember when that could almost be chalked up to one plane, the F4U-1C, not five.  That seems a marked improvement.

And what would you suggest to fix it?  You perk those five and all you do is push people into another group that will take a disproportionate number of the sorties.

Perk the P-51D, Spitfire Mk XVI, La-7, N1K2-J and Spitfire Mk VIII?

Then will you be whining about how common the Typhoon Mk Ib, Fw190D-9, Hurricane Mk IIc, F4U-1D and Spitfire Mk IX are?  What then?  Perk those?

You cannot regulate human behavior like that.  That we have five planes making up 30% of the kills is dang good compared to where we have been.  People see five planes that are fully competitive (I'd actually talk about the top four as the drop from the N1K2-J to the Spitfire Mk VIII is big).

And I would point out that there are a slew of less common aircraft that are also very effective, planes that many people graduate too.  F4U-1D, P-38L, Ki-84-Ia, Bf109K-4, Bf109G-14, Fw190D-9, Yak-9U.

Your whine is pointless.

Karnak...no whine... just having a discussion.  You really are a piece of work.  Did you catch me with your sister or something?

Yes there are alot of fun planes that are less common..my two favorites to fly, period, are the Yak-T  and the Ki-84.

Chill out a little bro.  You're gonna blow a gasket.

Heh.  Nothing to chill out from.

I was not the one to make overwrought claims and then go into mental gymnastics to avoid admitting he was wrong.

I've no stake in this at all.  Just pointing out how silly your claims are.

the point of this thread I must admit is to find out just egsactly {within reasonable doubt} how much it costs monitarily to bring a new aircraft to this game, in this endevoure I have failed misserably, but by all means please continue to post OFF TOPIC..:aok

HTC doesn't release that kind of info.  HTC consists of 7 people, adding a new plane generally involves at least one artist and the producer.  If it has unusual features, then it would need one or both programmers to work on it too.  I have no idea how many hours each person would need to spend on it though.  Bigger aircraft with multiple positions take more work.

So the Boston-lll is the biggest widowmaker in the game bomber-wise eh? That confirms what I first thought when I saw one sitting in a hangar. All primped up like a Queen.

Tho I suppose the very large, and great, lineup of warplanes in AH is a big part of why the game is so much fun. Including the more exotic ones, like my beloved Japmobiles the KI-67s.

It would have been easy to leave out a bomber like the Dragon, or other various aircraft of Japanese, Russian, Italian, bloodlines. I think AHs dedication to these "other guys" airplanes is terrific.

Yasee? The Dragon has a lousy kill/death ratio. So dont hesitate to "come on in".:t

Stephen you're wasting your time asking for that info here.  Call HTC directly.

Good luck.
