First toys! Now the Environment?

Don't know if you guys have heard about the container ship that hit the bay bridge? But its crew was chinese!

Sounds like there are going to be a few scandles too, the company doing the cleanup has employees sending letters to the newspapers saying staff and cost cuts have hurt the response!

Fish and game officers threatening volunteers trying to help oil covered fish with jail etc.

Coast guard commander in the area releaved.

Russian and Ukrainian authorities launched a rescue and cleanup operation in the Black Sea on Monday after fatal storms sank five ships, including an oil tanker and three ships carrying sulphur, and left at least two sailors dead and 20 sailors missing, officials and news agencies said. The oil tanker split in half and spilled more than 1,000 tons of fuel oil, and environmentalists expressed concern that the effects of the spill would last for years.

Massive waves split a Russian oil tanker in two during a fierce storm on 11 November, spilling at least 560,000 gallons of fuel into a strait leading to the Black Sea. It was the worst environmental disaster in the region in years, and some officials said could take years to clean up.

Yea there were 2 bad oil spills last week. The one in Cali and the Russian one at sea during a bad storm.

I dunno if yea can put any blame on the Russian one because it wasn't only their ship that had problems. It broke in half during a real bad storm a few other ships were lost as well.

The Chinese one gets me though, how the hell do you hit a freaking bridge.

The russian cargo ships are quite old, alot of them with a single hull. The structucal integrity might not be the best.

If you want to be worried of the crew, you should worry about the philippinese crews. They tend to be involved in many incidents in Europe.
