I've switched to vodka. Beer doesn't make me happy fast enough anymore... Of course I don't have any vodka at the moment, either.

I have that same relationship with tequila and Glenfiddich.

Odd how any memory of the good times are gone the very next morning, and yet the knee-jerk nausea in response to the tastes and aromas that caused the sickness seem to never fade.

Always seems weird that only the Vodka does it to me now. Guess the memory just latched on one. And Vodka, typically, has less assault on most people's pallet or nostril.

It may be the very subtly of vodka's taste and smell that is the culprit. In my experience, I've found that just the hint of the right alcohol can often leave more of an impression on the mind than an overpowering blast.

One whiff of Tequila and I usually need to sit down.

As far as vodka goes, my rules are simple. Drink it ice cold and try to stick to the quality stuff. Take shots quickly and often. If I need a chaser, a nice little pickle or cherry tomato is better than anything liquid.

And then I wake up, anxious and dazed, and run to the phone to piece together the previous night.

I think I most liked the kid, who was on country the other night, wishing that AH2 was more like Half Life.  A realistic flight sim needs to be more like a first person shooter....?
