My CH rudder pedals have arrived!


I am somewhat excited!

If you have fought against me recently you may have witnessed the sudden uncontrolled spins.(spikey rudder on twisty stick)

I you haven't fought against me recently, then the spin happened before you got there.



  I hope it doesn't take a long time for me to get used to them.

one thing that maybe helped me was I was already using an x45 so I had the "separation" of stick and rudder.

I'd try to keep mentally using the twisty part, just disabled, and when you input left rudder, mentally tell yourself "push left foot"

Congrats...just remember that your brakes are on the pedals too! (smashed a goon into a vbase maproom the first time I used mine kept hitting the button I had mapped for brakes on the stick wondering why I was not stopping)

I just got back from a little time in the TA.


Like relearning to fly almost.. have to think about everything again instead of just flowing.

I don't think I will have to worry about landing and toe brakes anytime soon!:lol

But I am still very happy I made the leap to pedals..just need to retrain whats left of my brain.

I changed from a regular set of CH pedals to a Pro set, and it took a good month to get use to sliding the rudder pedals as apposed to tilting them.

Get use to dieing for awhile, your a "newb" all over again !!! oh, and congrats on the new purchase !!!:D

I dont know how people can play flight sims without rudder pedals.

I have the CH PRO pedals, have had them for a long, long time. Very durable things.

Congrats, you will enjoy them a LOT!

Now get yerself a force feedback joystick and a dual throttle controller and you're SET!

Back in dem ancient times ub dem Commodore computers, I boughts me a set ub hand-made rudder pedals. $250

Big as a crate of grapefruit it was, made of sheet metal, massive old foot pedals and tiny, fallible potentiometers.

i flew twisty stick sidewinders exclusively for years and transitioning to the CH pedals took me a good year to get remotely proficient with them.

 it takes a long time to get the motor skills with the pedals you had with the twisty if you used the twisty sticks a long time but after that transition is made you will see the precision of the rudder pedals exceeds that of twisty sticks thus...

once you get the hang of using rudder pedals in air combat maneuvers you will never want to go back to using twisty sticks.

just keep at it, and it will soon become second nature....as for my self, I rest my seet on my pedals alot so I have added a small bit of deadband for them.to negate any small input from moving my feet around inadvertantly.....

did you ever get able to upgrade your PC or videocard from awhile back? just curios if you still using that old card...can PM me on that if you like.....
