Fire Joepa.

We got out played last night. However, I think it might be time for Joepa to retire. There were so many bad calls, his calls mind you, being made last night it made me sick. Morelli, should have been benched as soon as he started getting shaky in the 2nd quarter. I like the kid, but he is not a stable QB. All it takes is for one thing to go wrong and he is useless back there.

Joe is a great coach. He took our program to new heights, but the play calling this season has just gotten dumb. We should have beat MI, we should have beat Ill. I am not going to say we should have beat OSU, because OSU, out played us. They were just better than we were.

I really hope we do better with Purdue next week. The whiteout was a bit of a let down. As soon as OSU started putting score on the board the stadium went quiet.

I think Penn State needs to start looking for a new head coach. I love Joepa, then again, I love my grandpa too, but there came a time when i had to take the car keys away from him..

Just some thoughts for the fellow Lions here.

Morelli (besides his interception throw) wasn't doing too bad.  PSU didn't do well because of ultra conservative play calling.

While OSU would get big breaks or throw massive plays, PSU would try to chip away, tiny piece by tiny piece.  PSU didn't really go for any big plays.

There were massive holes in our line. Wells was able to run though without any trouble. Four yards here and six yards there, add up quick. Our defense was playing a play behind OSUs offense.

Morelli looked good half of the first quarter, that is it. I think the point when he pulled that beautiful fake, with nobody open, he ran and had the ball knocked out of his hands, spooked him. After that we saw nothing but conservative game play. Morelli got taken off keel and it was down hill from there. Joepa, like a good pitching coach in baseball, needs to realize when his QB has had enough. Two mins into the second quarter was enough.

In the end, it doesn't matter what we did. We were destined to loose last night. As much as I can't stand OSU, I have to give them credit. Those boys came out there last night and just played better football. I don't think it was because they were better, they were just better than us last night. You never really can tell with college ball. Stats mean little, every weekend is a new challenge no matter who you play. Thats why I love college ball.

You can replace him with Lloyd Carr or Fran from TA&M  both of them will probably be reading the help wanted ads in a few weeks.

No thanks. The truth is, Joe is not going to do whats right and retire. He wants to die on the damn sidelines. The selfishness of it all sickens me. Him and Bowden both need to knock this silly stuff off. They are both running their respective programs into the ground.

Joepa took it to new heights when he brought his son on (Jay Paterno), who is most likely the number one reason quarterbacks can not develop at Penn State. Anthony Morelli, is a QB who has tons of potential, that has all gone to waste, because nobody there helped the kid develop into a winning quarterback.  It is a sad situation for sure.
