Is there a way to do this?
« on: December 06, 2007, 10:04:53 PM »
I have dual monitors and I know the game only supports one in game. However I was wondering if there was a way I could run the game in a window and be able to still do things on my other monitor with out having to alt tab to desktop.

I've tried right clicking my AH exe and setting it to "minimized" rather than normal window, but it always opens full screen regardless of how I set it.

With the film viewer I can load it on monitor then move my mouse off screen to the other monitor and do other stuff. I'd love to be able to do the same with the game. Anyone have any ideas on how I could do this?

This way I could do a little work as I climb out from a base or travel from one base to the other.

I tried to do this for ascenario, so I could have maps, orders, and such up on the second display. To do anything with the second monitor, I had to minimize AH on the first, regardless of my Nvidia control panel settings (clone, stretch, yadda yadda). If there is a way, I couldn't figure it out.

Yea I was just thinking there might be a devlopers setting or something like that. A lot of times you can do this kinda thing by a little code in the .exe target line.

So I figured I'd ask to see if anyone knew. It would be very nice and convenient to be able to do this.

Well in most games or apps you should be able to right click the .exe that launches the program. Then  go into properties and select if you want it full screen or in a window. For whatever reason AH over rides this setting and opens full screen no matter what.

No, there is no way to run AcesHigh in a window.
