I would love to see an arena with a split axis vs allies plane set and historical maps. It would be nice to have fights where you don't have to fly allied against allied planes or the other way around.

The AvA is a dueling arena and I don't see that changing. That is ok. I bet an arena with split plane sets and base captures and all would see good numbers.

er, we have that already, its called Snap Shot and friday night squad ops.

Sorry, I didn't realize that this "Wish List" section was for what everyone else wished for or that if it was already available for a couple of hours, 2 nights a week then it was off limits.

It is a discussion forum. That means people coment on people's wishlists and people comment on the comments.

If you aren't open to having holes poked in your requests, well, probably not the place for it.

I was obliquely showing that the outcome in that arena would always be Allied victory. If the outcome is always the same, people stop playing Axis in frustration. Then you have a lack of oponents for the Allied players and they stop playing.

Well its good that someone finally pointed that out to you !!:D

AvA is suppose to be exactly what you asking for. The problem is the attitude of some of the "regulars" that hang out in there. Their biggest complaint is they don't want it turning into another MA type of arena with the same "cancer" that infests them. You know, those things like bombing FHs to stop defence of a base so that it can be captured, wingman tactics that might be confused as "ganging" and so on.

Exactly, Fugitive. The arena is there, the plane set is there and the maps are there. But it is used as a DA, nothing else.

If you look at some of the feedback and suggestion threads, ignoring all of the threadjacks and whining, I think the numbers would be good.

Karnak, I wasn't talking about your reply. I appreciate that you pointed out the scenarios. There have been numerous discussion threads on the AvA board that started out as good discussions of various pros and cons and slowly spiraled into personal attacks.

Not what I was trying to do here. I like the snapshot events and the FSO's very much, I would just like to see an arena where you could fly in those types of match ups every night.
