LOL!

A few weeks ago, I was playing Tomorrow Never Knows, the last track on the Beatle's Revolver album when one of our game masters from the office across the hall came in to ask me some questions.   He listened to the song for a few moments and then asked in all seriousness if that was The Killer's new song.  I told him that since I was a sporting man, I will give him a minute head start to run from my office before I got up to kill him.

my kids all grew up with classic rock, a lot of which is not played on the airwaves.  zappa, velvet underground, blues breakers, faces, J. Geils and a host of others that were great bands, yet not commercially successful.

it really is hard to beat the music of those heady days when sex was safe and diving was considered dangerous.

..we start talkin cars.. they liked the van, says one guy 'I own the first muscle car' ..points over to his not too shabby 383 '69 Dart.

I point over to my friends '32 Ford Model 'B' 5-window coupe .. first to have the flathead V-8 way back when it was new ..had a 350 chebby in it now tho ;)

ya it's pretty cool to see each crop of 18 yr olds discover what rock really is, the melding of music from the mississippi delta as interpreted by some innovative white guys who then influenced some musicians over in that little island nation of inbred people with poor dentistry practices.  gotta love the new world order.
