Actually you are right and wrong...

Hies is a ligimate word but not in the way it is used in the opening thread post... it is the plural of hie which means to go quickly; hasten.

Often, his hies cause him to step on his ears.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/hies

Hies a good dog ...should read: He's a good dog. Or, He is a good dog ...as you said.

Hies paws are big ...should read: His paws are big.

Can't speak for all cats but you should meet my female kitty cat.

No dog is more demonstratively loving to humans than her; not possible, imv.

That said, she is rare amongst cats in that regard.

It's a typo.  Where he said "Hies", he meant to write "hides".

I agree Tigress..some cats..my two for instance arent normal. Smart and very affectionate. Its all in how you raise them. Like kids I would think. But I wouldnt know. Who would want to go down that road?
