Need more information, but most likely the fan on your vidio card has froze up.

Is your frame rate drop in every areana?  Does it happen is you fly offline?  Do you see differences with different maps?

Sounds like you might have gotten something corrupt in the game folder.  I would just rename the 'HTC' folder and reinstall Aces High II.  Then slowly copy over what you need from the 'settings' folder of the old installation, except the "video8.cfg" file.

Cant he just delete the video8.cfg file? and AH will rebuild it.. I seem to remember that working, and its less steps.

If there is one corrupt file in the folder, then there is a chance there are more.  Just as a test, it would be best to start clean.  I have no idea what other files have been installed, along with what custom changes have been made, or how long the game has been installed.

In my experience, having a known basis to work from is the best way to solve problems.

If that happens, your computer has far more problems that have nothing to do with Aces High.  I am going to back away from this one.  I cannot help someone whose computer is not acting in the logical manner it should.

Your computer has problems if renaming a folder causes other things to be removed.  I cannot begin to list all the potential problems that could cause that.  It is definately beyond the scope of debugging any game issue.

yea when you click rename on it a window pops up and says renaming this file may cause damage to your hard-drive and or delete files. nothing important is on this hard-drive so i had nothing to lose.
