as Storch suggest, is a good thing to learn how to handle your plane of choice with 100% and or 75% of fuel load..........never know when you might get jumped when in a heavier plane.......I actualy suggest the same when in the TA and never take less than 50% being minimum  during training exercises....

that 25% fuel loadout stuff is  and should be reserved for dueling arena fights only, if that is your thing.......  YMMV........

but just flying for fun  in the AvsA 75% max  50% normally is best.......

unless you in  something like a spitV, or La5, La7 ( anything with small tanks )

Oh, on the BoB map, yes it was 1.13. It was actually based on the BoB'06 scenario settings, so it gives a Bf-109E approx 15 minutes flying time over London based on a climb to alt (18K) over Calais and straight ingress and egress losing alt over the Straits of Dover to land in the Calais/Bologne area. But usually the fuel burn rate has been at 1.0 (most setups IIRC).

the avengers play with heart.  maybe if they played with skill there would be less HO'n ganging etc.  as it is I can single handedly whip about 5 of them.  I'm sure that once they get past the steep learning curve they will be just fine and the equal of anyone in the arena.  speaking for myself, I'm glad they are in the AvA.

Missed out on last night guys. My son had his football dinner. He was the recipient of offensive player of the year. Proud papa here but he has decided that football is not his sport of choice at the next level. Instead, he has accepted an offer th represent Hofstra University on the lacrosse field.
I agree Storch...Avengers always fly with heart. As for skill, many of our top fighters (of which I am not) are still learning to adjust to the new arena, FM's and, most important, higher level of competition. Just a matter of time. Lut, Dog, TJ and others will work their way to the elite....just a matter of time....Lut is almost there already as is TJ. Watch out for Dog though....another week and he will be there as well.
As for me, I have a lot to learn, and I am learning more every time I go into the TA and even more when I go up against some of the guys in the AvA.
Personally, I like to start off with 100% fuel. Yes, it is not as easy to manuever, but as someone siad, if you can fly well with 100%, you will do even better with less...
Cya all Wednesday night.

wow storch..i was almost touched..lol

all in all i learned a couple more things last nite as i expect to every time i enter the arena. gotten several kills and would have gotten many more if not my gunnery suck so bad. I do not HO and thiinking i speak for the rest of the avengers they do not either. Naturally there is that uh oh thing that can happen. Of course i got HO a couple of times but they lived and I died. Just not a strategy I care to take.

I enjoy flying against my betters so until i getbetter I'll keep a watch on my 6 cuz that's where ya'll usually end up  lol.... all

All I can say is watch out for dog. Once he gets it going, he will be an issue for all of his adversaries. Before I became an Avenger, I was Dog's play toy.
As fore HO's....Avengers do not HO intentionally. The other night I did not HO, but as soon as I pulled up to pull a wing over, sure enough, there was the tracer going past me horizontal in my rear view. If I stayed level, he would have HO'ed me. No complaint here.....but Avengers fly in furballs with integrity. We do not intentionally waste anyones time with an HO....

But I have seen you do it Trukill....and I called you on it and you admitted to it so why dont you go find another thread to respond to....cause your credebility on this one is wearing quite thin
Oh Jeez....now I responded to a child...I forgot.
Never mind trukill..... Go home little boy. You are not old enough to play with the big boys. You might get hurt and well, you may start to whine and cry like you do in the arena. You may play this video game well...but then again, my younger son was a killer with Mario Brothers when he was 3 so I guess that means very little....but as for your crying and whining in the arena...well, that speaks volumes.

Raptor yes I do HO, but only when Im out numbered or the other guy has HOed me more then twice. Last night I was dodging HOs left and right from you guys. Mostly from a 109G6 with gondies on..... hmm let me think.. oh yea that was meandog. Every single time we merged he took a HO shot, and a few turns later he was dead. As for "not old enough to play with the big boys" lets see:

AvA Tour 70

TrueKill has 30 kills on Avengers
Avengers have 2 kills on TrueKill
(thats just from last night)

AvA Tour 69

TrueKill has 81 kills on Avengers
Avengers have 15 kills on TrueKill

AvA Tour 68

TrueKill has 28 kills on Avengers
Avengers have 5 kills on TrueKill

I can be an ass, HO, gang, pick, vulch, but ask anyone that plays in the AvA when it comes down to a 1v1 I can handle my own. Which is more then I can say about you guys.

Yes Larry, I know you are good at this game. Like I said, my younger one was good at Mario Brothers at the age of 3. It is your interpersonal skills, your immaturity, your constant whining, your constant complaining....it is all of those things that make you a child. Truth is, for anyone to use their "scores" as a means to demonstrate age as you just did, simply shows how they are merely a child.
I was good at breakout....but that certainly did not make me mature....but then againm I was only 14 years old at my peak in that game.
You actually added up your kills and who they arte against.......you really need to re-evaluate what is most important in life my friend.
Yes, you are one of the top aces in the arena......I am impressed with your skill with a joystick....but that does not, by any means, make you an impressive individual.
The difference between you and Storch is that Storch has earned the right to criticize me as he offers vvaluable advice and does not talk about how great and wonderful he is. He, too is good...but that is not what he try's to convey. You, on the other hand, seem to have nothing better to do than to knock the ability of others and talk about how great you are....and YES...you really are good....but not at flying historical planes as storch is....you are good at playing a computer game. Big difference...BIG difference.

I need all Avengers to stand down.  Do not in any shape or form have this discussion with the village under achievers.  They can insult and whine and moan all they want; but all we want is a good time in the air three times a week.

I for one am getting bored with all the banter from a select few of you guys.  Is this how you guys welcome all newcomers to this flight sim?  If so it's a wonder there is anyone flying here at all.  The fact is, we will continue to fly in the AvA arena as a squad and I'm real sorry that bothers a few of you so badly, but oh well.

Let me as the CO of the Avengers set the records straight.  We fight as a squad, we fly bombers some times, we don't believe in a 1 on 1 fight other than in the DA, if you enter a fair fight you failed to have a plan and last but not least, We will take the shot if we have it..........HO or not.

I'm real impressed that some of you take so much pride in beating up on some guys that are still learning the FMs.  On the other hand, I appreciate the help and tips offered by others.  Rest assured, that once the boys get a grip on the change over from Warbirds, they will be a force to be reconed with.  Until then, let the beatings continue, you are only making them stronger.

First off I didnt add anything up, HTC did on the scores page. When did I say scores showed my age? I tryed to tell you guys a few tips yesterday and on other occasions. You guys jsut turned your heads and kept on doing what you guys do. Hell Iv even offered to take you guys to the TA and show you some things, but again y'all declined. Last night I told meandog that theres no reason to take a droptank and gondies in the AvA while dogfighting. They just slow you down and make you less maneuvrable. I even told jussty that if he wants me to over shoot him just cut throttle turn and kick rudder the opposite way. BTW 90% of everything I know I got from storch, N7, Tbar, and other squadies.
