Ok I know this question has been asked before.

I have become the recipient of a set of Thrustmaster "ELITE" Rudder pedals
Problem is they are Serial port not USB.
So. what do I need to connect the two serial port plugs to USB?

Radio shack only had a USB to serial port for like $37
But no Serial port to USB.

Orrr do I have the port name messed up?

I checked Radioshack with the part number off my old one and it looks like they don't carry them any more, but I found THIS ONE

USB uses a totally different bus and timing clock, you can't hard wire anything for cheap. You need a proper adapter.

prices is UK so half the price to get a rough estimate for US . dosent say on the site if the ship to the US but u can always e-mail them and ask.

Thats the wrong part. serial port portion needs to be female.
But thats the same basic part Radio shack had for $37.
The only difference is the radio shack version had a foot long wire between the two connections. LOL
I could get it to work with another part that was female/ female. But that would bump the price up over $40.
considering I need two. The cost then rises to over $80
Add to that the fact Im running out of USB ports and will need to get a hub.
And, well then I'd almost be better off just buying a set of pedals LOL

It doesnt necessarily have to be cheap.
But $37 seemed to be a bit of a rip off IMO

If I knew what color wire needed to be soldered where. I'd probably just make it myself

Thats not a serial port to USB adapter im loooking for is it?
Its a MIDI to USB adapter that I need

Any game controller I've ever seen uses the 15 pin game port plug, untill they came out with the USB. The link in my post above goes to a gameport to USB adapter, with a long cord, for $30.

As a side note, I would get a powered USB hub ($20) if you have that many items. Having low power on your controller due to it being spread out among a bunch of units will cause spiking, and drift in the calibration setting in your controllers.

That's what I was thinking, just grab a game port. Usually a sound card comes with one. Mine did. I know they won't be any 37 bucks.

I use a ms ff that is plugged into my gameport.

I've got 2 gameports, one on a back plate hooked to my motherboard (pedals in here) and one on my Creative Labs Audigy1 card (MS Prec Pro here). Very handy things, if you have older technology still around, like me.

I have a gameport ont he back of my soundcard yes.
Problem is Im told you cant mix Gameport AND USB

I have a CH stick and throttle. Both USB

The pedals are gameport
