I'm beginning to like the message Huckabee is putting out. So far he seems to be the most authentic of the bunch.

Romney looks like he should be hawking used cars, the word slimey keeps popping into my mind when I see/hear him.

With Giuliani, I think he may do well on domestic issues, but I think he will flounder on foreign policy, and I'm not well informed enough about his stand on the 2nd Ammendment, although the CNN/Youtube debat he did say the 2nd was an individual right, not a right of the state.

To me those are the 3 that have the best chance. Ron Paul impressed me, but I dont think he stands much of a chance winning the nomination.

What do the rest of you think?

I would like to see ron paul take it. He won't of course but.. in a perfect world..

Next.. probly romney or thompson. rudy would be last.. he is from new york so he is really just a blue state guy in disguise.. he is no friend of the second and just some new york liberal dressed up like a republican.

I would still vote for any of those guys over any candidate the democrats can dredge up..

I really don't care. I will vote Rep because the Dems offer me nothing. I just want it to end so I can watch normal TV again. I have got 2 phone calls for election surveys so far. The first one I answered all pro Dem answers and the second one all pro Rep answers. That’ll show’m.

I like a lot of what Huckabee says, though I'm confused as to his stands on immigration and the environment. I like Romney second. Thompson, though a likeable enough gent, just doesn't inspire me. McCain I see as a traitor to the Repubican party (for a number of reasons, including immigration and campaign finance "de-form"); Rudy I like personally, but feel as Lazs does regarding his bonifides...He just isn't a true conservative).

Well as a registered independent, I'd have to say Ron Paul. However I think he's just as much of a fruit loop as Ross Perot was and I think he's has about a snow balls chance in hell of winning the nomination. However it would be funny to see if he can get anything done.

All the other Republicans make me cringe for the exact reasons I can't stand the current Republican party. If they got back to what Republicans were supposed to be, well then I'd likely support them. Until then I'll support the Democrats as they are the lesser of the two evils.

I don't really like a lot of what Ron Paul claims to stand for. Sure I like the idea of a simple govt but lets get real. Giving big business even more power over this country is not the best way to go about having a "small govt".

If it came down to the choice between Hillary or RP I'd probably vote for RP, because even though I don't agree with him, I like him more than Hillary and I really don't think he would beable to get the crazy stuff done.

If it's Hillary vs one of the other Republicans, I'd vote for Hillary. If
Obama looks like he has a chance, well then I'd vote for him as he's my favorite overall so far.

I'm not too thrilled about any of the candidates on either side, but if I had to pick one it would be Romney...not planning on voting this time but that may change...we'll see

Same here, but in reality my vote means nothing anyway considering the state i live in.

Huckabee is a great guy and was a decent governor. He does NOT have what it takes to be president.....and I am in Arkansas.

Romney is like Edwards on the Dem side....slick, nice hair...and so much politicial BS he won't make it.

People, in the end, want someone "real" to lead them...

I'm seeing a repeat of the last 4 major elections: Holding my nose while I cast my vote.

I would still vote a crappy republican candidate in rather than a good democrat for the simple reason of Supreme court appointments, which affects us more long term than a mere 4 year presidential term in the white house.
