graphic error "Mountains in the Sea"
« on: January 04, 2008, 03:15:19 PM »
Hi!

Today i found that especially when flying over the sea the horizon seems to have "mountains of water". Meaning it is no longer a flat line but looks like a mountain chain.

I have never noticed that before and i dont know of any changes i have done to my system lately.

Anyone got an idea how to fix that?

Running on a Geforce 7900GT with latest drivers and DX9c on Win XP Pro
High resolution pack and highest graphic settings in game.

Do you need any additional information about my system?

Thanks
Galmas

It's been there for a long time. I miss the old transitions of AH1, where the horizon really blended together. Now you see these all the time, no matter how far your sliders are set.

The problem is that the game culls the geometry (it stops rendering it on your monitor) before the point where it starts to fade it into the background.

You can still see it in full mode. It's just further out there. It looks the same way, just out on the horizon.
