I'm impressed with Guitar Hero. Not with the game, the game's awful. But how the creators made millions of people think themselves talented, and waste hundreds of hours accomplishing nothing. And make millions of dollars selling a pretty simple game, and a cheap controller for a lot of money.
With the time AND money spent playing Guitar Hero, anyone could easily learn guitar. I did. It doesn't take lessons. The only requirement is that you can't be lazy.
But then again, putting hours into a video game when the real thing is available is the epitome of laziness.
It is a game. Not sure I have seen any of my kids or their friends that think they are talented rock stars because they can play the game. I guess that same logic would apply to all the people that play AH & now think of themselves as talented fighter jocks.
My five year old can actually play the game pretty well. All songs he can hit the notes on easy mode, and can do most songs in medium mode.
Funny related story. He was at church where the break the younger kids out to do activities. They have all sorts of songs they sing with the kids. They were asking they kids what songs they wanted to sing next. He rose his hand and when called on he said he wanted to sing "Shout out the Devil", which is a song he loves from GH.
I have an 8 yr old that plays GH good too. They odd thing with him is, he only uses two fingers to accomplish it.
