Thats because that pic is timeless.
It doesnt need a calander.
And why would I want to pollute such a beauty with a calander?

Besides. If I need a calander. All I haveta do is click on the little clock.
:p

Look how high the pilot sits in those P38's. HT should take a look at those, because to me it seems the rear view should be much better than the P38's we have in this game.

Actuay if you look at some of the pics of the P51s canopys
And compared then to the canopys of the 109s
An arguement can be made that the ingame forward view on the 109s is either too poor, or the P51s is too good.
As the size and width of the abstructions as well as open glass are fairly similar

Note I said FORWARD view.
As in straight ahead

Yea hard to say in those pics. The canopy framework might be a bit too think on the 109's in the game. I know it is a hard to line up shots with the limited views in the 109's.

On the P38 it's pretty clear in those pictures that the pilot has no seat obstructions like we have in the game. Doesn't appear to seats in those real 38's have a head rest.

Something else I noticed with the P51's in those pics.. Almost seems like they all have back seats.

P-51 appears to not have that good of visibility straight ahead.  Look how long and straight the nose is.  Deflection shooting must have been pretty tough.

I'm not sure which P-51 it was (H I think), but the nose was actually angled down 12 degrees to give a better view.  Same thing on one of the Corsair models.
