I saw them in 1975 with an unknown band called Little Feat opening the concert. Little Feat stole the show.

Oh, Warren is a genius, also.  I didn't even mention him because he has saved Dicky's arse on many, many occasions.  It jsut goes without saying.

His own side projects are great, also.  I have seen Gov't Mule many times, as well.  Warren is on a whole different level.

I think that with Derek, it's not so much that he is trying to emulate Duane, but he's been on the road with these guys off and on since he was a boy.  That must have a huge impact on a kid  being steeped in that music for so many years.  Kinda like the impact that Stevie-Ray had on Kenny Wayne Shepherd.

God, I love music.  I guess thats why I started a DJ Business.  I love to share good music with the world.

Yeah, I have guitar magazines talking about him when he was 9 years old.  The guitar, a Gibson SG I think, was almost as big as him.  Yet, the articles always mentioned his phenomenal prowess with the slide.  And the fact that he eerily sounded like Duane, not only with tone but with phrasing and intonation.

I agree with you that I don't think he is trying to nail the Duane sound.  It's just the way he is.

I've seen Little Feat, also.  Great band, especially live.

Feat is an OK band for the time. Stealing a show from the Allman Bros is a big stretch though.

That IS a big stretch.  The Allmans are probably my favorite band (or in a 3-way tie for favorite).

Wasn't just my opinion. Everyone I went with agreed.

LF may be the greatest live band ever.

Warren has Duane's bag of Coricidin medicine bottles he used, which Gregg gave him.

I thought I read somewhere that Derek had it, not Warren. I could be mistaken though.
