High Res Textures.
« on: December 30, 2007, 08:12:09 PM »
I downloaded the HiRes Textures, thinking my PC could run it, and it can...but if too much action is going on, it lags a fair bit. So I want to remove it.

Question is... how do I do that? I deleted every file I could find that said hirestex in it, I'm hoping thats the right way?

also, I can set the max texture size to 1024, and the game runs fine, and even looks a tad better. It's only when I download the file that it lags on me.

Thanks

The setting did nothing until you installed the pack. Just set your texture down to 512 (or 256). BEFORE you installed it, you were getting 512 (even though you had chosen 1024, the files just weren't installed to run it that way).

Nothing to uninstall, just lower the setting and it goes back to the way it was.
