Broken voting machines...
« on: January 02, 2008, 11:29:25 PM »
In this link:http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/voting_machine_mess

It shows some kinda alarming things...The voting machines in some cases, did not have password protection??? I woulda figured that it would have been built in from day one. Kinda suprising things...

Wonder what that means' as far as past elections (Even though electronic voting hasn't been too widespread until lately.)

The War on Hacking

The RIAA can't even deal with hacking, but politicians (or whoever is in charge) think they can count on electronic voting machines to stay secure?

I remember watching a program about the hackability of Diebold machines. Diebold said it was impossible. All they did was introduce a virus to one memory card. When the machines downloaded it suddenly started changing vote counts of all the machines used in a test election.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Well...IMHO, if something's not broke, don't fix it. Paper ballots' got us by literally for centuries.

I just wonder how much money was lost on the computers.
