I'm going to semi-disagree with you on this.

Getting a group to "gang report" someone for no reason other than "hey, soandso shot me down!" is an abuse.

Reminding other players on open channel that there is a .report function while someone is being genuinely doltish is a public service.

Not quite sure if that is what you meant, but I offer it up anyway.

Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

I .report people all the time. :D In fact I would say that if I spend more than 30 minutes online I do a .report for vox or chat more often than not. And if it is real bad I will call HTC in a heart beat.

As poorly qualified as I am to drive off and disperse the indecent vendorsof Dadaism who break down the industrial-technological system of
simulated flight we love, I hope you will bear with me while I begin this sincere and earnest attempt. And please don't get mad with me if, in doing so, I must call a spade a spade. To begin at the beginning, the Knights demand absolute and blind obedience from its factotums.  If they didn't,
they might question its orders to replace the search for truth with a situationist relativism based on vile, mean-spirited Maoism. This unrelenting demand of obedience also implies that as damnable as it might sound, one positive outcome of the Law of Unintended Consequences is that if we embrace the cause of self-determination and recognize the leading role and clearer understanding of those people for whom the quintessential struggle is an encompassing liberation movement against the totality of statism then the Knights won't be able to pit people against each other. This is not what I think; this is what I know. I additionally know that Knights intends to create a new social class of pilot. Subversive sots, mentally deficient, testy rotters, and thrasonical, merciless hell-raisers will be given aristocratic status. The rest of us will be forced into serving as their admirers as they bomb our hangars.

The Rooks are an overall free country, and I allege we ought to keep it that way. Here's an idea: Instead of giving the Knights the ability to destroy our pilots ability to relax, reflect, fly, and land, why don't we counteract the subtle, but pervasive, social message that says that challenging all I stand for is essential for the safety and welfare of the community, forum or otherwise? If we do, we'll then be able to tell it how wrong it is. For the record, I believe I have found my calling. My calling is to free people from the spell of despotism that the Knights have cast over them. And just let them try and stop me. Did it ever occur to the Knights that maybe spies who have spent many years attempting to penetrate the dark recesses of its closed-minded underworld frequently conclude that it is so confident in its own intellectual and cultural paradigm that it is blind to AHII realities?

Dream on.

Rogent your a good p51 stick!   Try not to get caught up with the battles for bases.  Yes they can be fun but who cares really.   What matters is perfecting your 51 skills so that you can land more kills than me in it ;)

You did right to tell him what you thought then squelch!

Rogent, first off, if it bothers you, by all means report it. THAT IS WHAT THE REPORT FUNCTION IS FOR!

Second, if you do push that button, MUM's the word. Say NOTHING.
Anything you say after pushing the report button just makes you a target.

So why would you do that?

If enough people have a problem with someone in a short enough period of time, he will get spanked. The community works, period. But it works best if you don't say anything.

Abusing the report function can rebound on you if HTC decides a squadron or group of players unfairly ganged someone with the report. So use it but DON"T ABUSE IT!

While I did not witness the "incident", I've always found you to be a pretty good natured opponent.  Don't worry about the small but vocal minority and enjoy the game - and if the Knits throw you out you're always welcome over here on the Bish side.  ;)

I think I agree with what you said.  I got a headache about the second paragraph.  Must be my inability to relate to more intelligent beings.  Therefore I have resulted in the mediocre(sp) life of AH.  Since you also play at the same level as most of the dweebs (including me) in here means that you have sunk to our level.  Welcome to the Jungle my friend.  You are a fine and gentle human and we will always be greatful...
