Every tour is my best tour because I never keep track of anything. I just log on, find a fight, and fight. Sometimes I get into a fun fight, sometimes it's just BnZers and everyone runs when you turn the tables on them. It's always fun on AH2.

Don't know about best tour. I know I've had some great nights where my plane seemed to be coated with a new non-caloric silicon based kitchen lubricant my company has been working on. In the same night my 50 cals seem to become self guided into anything that’s red. The next night I up the red guys have found the kitchen lubricant and my 50 cals fly into anything but what’s red. If I could only find a way to not fly that next night. Guess that would be my best tour. :aok

I was on reduced flight time, but last tour was my best in fighters.

60 victories in 22 sorties. Of those, I landed all but four:

One ditch (ran out of gas and couldn't glide it home. I WOULD have made it, but a Dora dweeb in pursuit had to press the fight. Killed him on the first reversal but that still used just enough gas I came up short).
Two discos (both in-transit without enemy contact).
One death (collision. Spit turned into me at the last second. I hit the ground first).

Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

My best scored tour took place some 3 or 4 years ago when HTC had this big 4 or 5 tour long shootout and gave money prices for the top ranks.

IIRC, it was Furball who collected the biggest check in the end.

After my best AH tour to date, I realized that I was limiting my own skillset by flying my chosen aircraft to always maximize it's advantages, and so followed up with one of my poorest, because I deliberately began pushing outside of my own "comfort" zone.

I had more fun, and by the end of the following tour had learned a ton more about what the plane is capable of.  (Not that there isn't still a lot more.)

In terms of score/rank; 16th 2 camps ago followed by 34th last camp.

In terms of fun factor; Tour 86; 418 kills in 45 different planes/vehicles followed by:

Tour 87; 418 kills in 36 different planes/vehicles
Tour 88; 349 kills in 39 different planes/vehicles
Tour 89; 358 kills in 38 different planes/vehicles
Tour 90; 343 kills in 38 different planes/vehicles

I'm heading back toward those multi-plane camps now which was much more fun/rewarding than simply going for score/rank.  Not that I won't try to keep my rank up as best I can but it's a lot harder changing rides every sortie.

Last camp I had 1 kill (0 deaths) in a Spit MkI.  Other than finally learning how to kill GV's in a Hurri IID that sortie was the most fun I had the whole camp  :)
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.
