I'm flying on a new MSI 2600XT by radeon myself.

It uses the new heatpipe tech for cooling, has a massive passive cooler on the back side of the card. (where there is actual airflow)

Getting solid 75's in AH with high detail settings.

And all for the entirely reasonable 138$ price tag.

Im unfortunately using AGP instead of PCI-E, but I bought the geforce 7600gs, and it has worked out great for me, I can run cod4, and everything on high settings with no lag. Great buy if your still running agp. ;)

I can't run COD4 with max settings without getting lag and I have a 8800GTS. I have to drop the resolution and image settings to get a competitive responsiveness in multiplayer.

In single player you don't notice the difference but in multiplayer it really hurts to have the eyecandy on.

How many power connectors would it need on AGP? 4?? If they do it in AGP (not saying I believe it), it would have to be clocked down or toned down in some way due to power consumption, or else they have to stick tons of power plugs on the end of it.

Except for mine being Visiontek that is the card I have now. Yep, it's a gorgeous card. Incredibly smooth gaming. Well, with that and a duo core cpu. I'm capped at 60 fps, but set it loose at 75fps once and it didn't budge.

Always been a GeForce fan but now I'm a radeon fan.

The cards nowadays run hotter, but they are designed to do that.  What you're looking for is cards that don't disperse each through your case.  My 8800GTS 640mb runs about 63-65C stock in Windows.  Gaming can see 70+C, but these are normal.  If I reach down and put my hand near the card, the dispersed heat from it is less than my northbridge chipset.
