One very important tip: If you have vsync enabled like you should in AH, make sure you have triple buffering also enabled. Otherwise you'll get a heavy hit to your fps immediately once it gets below 80,60,30 etc. meaning your fps will half in one blow.

Got 3 gig of ram.

Triple buffering?  In the AH video setup screen?

I tried the 4.12 drivers and recall they gave me other problems.

MB I have is a ECS KV2

I have NO PROBLEMS IF  <<< the if seems to be the thing here

the number of people in an arena is BELOW 325?

Perhaps I should qualify that.

IIRC AH has 2 servers?

When either server reach a certain number of individuals logged on it SEEMS like I start getting this situation where the plane, or planes, I'm engaged with are not always where they appear to be.

I call it CPU, GPU, net, server lag when it start happening.

IF I had a video recorder I could train on my monitor at such times and was to record using the AH recorder and record with both at the same time.  The AH recorder records what the CPU sees!

I'm pretty sure the differences I refer to would become apparent.

For some people, if they were to do this, I think very little would be different, but for others I think the differences would be major.

HMMM well considering the statement that someone is having no problems and running a system that isn't as good as mine? Is running higher everything I have to wonder????

Another note here!

I tend to take many snap shots!

I USED to knock down planes, with passing shots, out to 600 yds with the 109g10.

I had the TIMING down!

This was in AHII BTW

IIRC It wasn't as popular back then and didn't have so many online.

Now the TIMING SEEMS to change depending on how many are online????

One other thing that perhaps affects this is I DO NOT see hit sprites like I used to?

Rendering SEEMS different?

Sometimes the plane SEEMS to pass right through my stream of fire with NO hits!  And it keeps flying without any apparent affect?  Although sometimes I later see a kill registered.

I have ALL the effects turned ON!

Only thing I have off is SKINS.  And that is per Skuzzy recommendation, as he stated NO ONE using XP has enough memory to preload ALL the skins now in AHII.

Triple buffering can be found with 'advanced' settings in your nvidia dispay utility.
