Does a hat maketh the man?
« on: January 16, 2008, 07:15:01 PM »
Ok .. odd .. agree

My folks just came back from hols in the Gulapagos and passed through Ecquador.

Mum picked up a Panama hat for her son....

Since I've put it on have felt like me times 2. I mean strangely I kinda think this hat brings out the best in me.

As it's my first hat, just want to know if this kinda thing is common?

They had a Bugs Bunny cartoon about that.
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

lmao....Panama Jack hats are not a good idea....I went to the Galapagos in October and picked one up in guyaquill.  I wore it through the airport, and i've never been hasseled so badly by security...bad idea lol.

Hat is so comfortable though...Can't wait for summer to start wearing it!....

Is it one of those special pheromone, testosterone or macaron Panama hats? I know hats seem to give bald guys more confidence. Second hand. Honest. (So far) ;)

Well back in the late 70's I wore a biker hat for a while and I had this strange craving for Jack Daniels Whiskey loose tatooed women, and enjoyed baroom brawls
In the 80s someone gave me a Cowboy hat and I found myselve craving tequila, Mexican blackbirds and barroom brawls.

Back a few years ago as a joke I put on my grandmothers flowered kercheif for a few minutes.
And for those few minutes. I had this strange desire to carpet my garage.

A hat like that with a good 2-3" brim is great for keeping the rain off and for protection from the sun.   It is amazing how much more comfortable you are in the sun and rain with one on.

Hats with a full brim were and are a good idea... and I aint even bald.

Good guys wear black.
Nuff said.
