That was awesome to read. Nice to hear that it was done without publicity as well ~ just for the troops & not at all for the cameras & glad-handers.

A little bit from the article:

AND NOW, in time for the holidays, I bring you the best Christmas story you never heard.
It started last Christmas, when Bennett and Vivian Levin were overwhelmed by sadness while listening to radio reports of injured American troops.
"We have to let them know we care," Vivian told Bennett.
So they organized a trip to bring soldiers from Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Hospital to the annual Army-Navy football game in Philly, on Dec. 3.
The cool part is, they created their own train line to do it...

Army - Navy is definetely a great experience.  Too bad Army is too busy getting their arses handed to them every year.
Great read!  Thanks Mom

I am a train nut so I thought this was really cool when I first read it.  They did it in 2006 too.  I assume they did it in 2007 but I can not find a story about it.

I didn't see that it was all the way back in 2005 until after I read your post then went back & reread the story.
If there's any books about the army/navy train rides, I'd be interested in reading about those rides from 1936  -1975.
