Heya all,

I've been trying to get a dowwnload accellerator for my cpu. However, everytime im trying to download something from download.com (including the program i need to accelerate the downloads) it stops!!! Either it stops halfway, or near the end of the download. It just stops

I was trying to get orbit's accelerator (only 2 MB) and it wont even download that...

Anyone know what I can do or have a solution?

Switch to cable or dsl.

Not joking or being sarcastic. I really feel sorry for people stuck on modems, because the 'net is really more of a hassle than useful tool when you don't have bandwith.

If you're not actually in Houston, but somewhere on the outskirts that can't get a fast connection, email me, indy007@gmail.com with the link to whatever you're downloading. I have a ridiculously fast FTP site, in the Galleria area, that I can host the file for you on temporarily. Won't get much faster than that.

Comcast sucks. I have had nothing but trouble since they started "SPEEDING UP" the connections.

I'd pay extra to get Roadrunner back.

Amen. At least you're not on DSL though. I have both, and my Cable is about 5x faster up & down.

Indy - I'm out in Katy. I have AT&T High speed (DSL).

I think it's cuz I have a lap top, but you may be right... I'm @ U of H downloading the file onto my flashdrive, and gonna try it that way. If i cannot get it to work, I'll send you a link.
