In times of desperation (I'm recalling some of Stalin's Fourth, I think, when I flew Boston III's), I would do hard back and forth turns in order to do a Thatch weave sort of thing with my own drones. Turn hard, the drones fall behind, reverse and turn back hard into them while they are turning into you, reverse, repeat.
