I have nothing worthy of posting here... 1996 Buick Skylark and 2002 Nissan Quest... transportation....

all the pictures of my older cars are in boxes....

My first car...
1975 Vega Gt

after Basic I went to Sheppard AFB and bought one of these...1969 Cutlass "S" convertible

later I got married and we got one of these
1982 Ford Exp....

then we got 1984 Renault... it pretty much goes downhill from there...

After all these years all I've ever wanted was...

this

and this

I LOVED my Skylark, Buick, great cars, and reliable. never a single problem mechanically that was remotely serious until the 195K head gasket I mentioned.

I'd buy a Buick ASAP if I could afford it.

An identical one to mine- the only pics I have of my own are low-res shots taken with my cell phone.
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

1970 Duster.

Made a few changes since this pic.
Different engine now. Now a 340 instead of the 318.  Flat black 6 pack hood, etc. Still the factory colour though.

And the other (gixer might like this)

1967 Suzuki T500.  (2 stroke 500 cc)
Was stored in a barn on a farm for over 30 years. It was my uncle's bike and when he passed away it just got shacked away on the farm.

I often get asked about the bike. Questions like how long did it take to restore , how much i spent on it, etc.

It has 3333 mile on it when i started working on it. Only took about 20 hours and $500 to get it to look like this. No major components were replaced. (Replaced the throttle and brake cables, battery, replaced the original tires, and spark plugs. Only had to paint it it because the solution to clean the rust out of the gas tank ate the pain a bit.) The engine was fine and not seized, hell it even tried to run on carb cleaner.

Crazy thing is, when i went to get the few parts that I did need, the guy that helped me track stuff down (it is amazing what they keep in warehouses for decades) was the same guy who sold the bike to my uncle in 1967.

(forgot to put the rubber kneepads back on the tank for this picture. Note the original tires.)

Now with an amazing 3600 odd miles on it.

'04 Kawasaki ZX-10R.

Completely standard, quite happy with both the power (LOADS!) and the handling so dont see the point in fiddling with something that aint broke.  Only addon I've stuck on there are heated handgrips (cos British winters get a bit cold).

Done 30,000 miles now.  She's never put a foot wrong......well except spinning the rear up in the wet occasionally.
