**** Intuit. Maybe it's just me, but I don't like their tactics.
Got a message on Quicken today:

In other words, "This software will self destruct."
It chafes my bellybutton that this little limitation wasn't prominently displayed on the box. Certainly, I can understand their desire to cut off support, but it appears that Intuit is going to take it one step further and disable key features of the software, forcing me to upgrade.
...and this response is just too ****ing rich:
Why does Quicken periodically discontinue access to online services for their products? We strive to deliver the best products at the lowest cost to our customers by investing in technology that makes Quicken better and easier to use. One of the ways we are able to do that is to manage the costs associated with supporting older, outdated versions. We believe this enables us to provide you with the right level of service, while still providing leading-edge business solutions to our customers. That's right folks. Intuit is going to break this program for my own benefit.
**** them and their software. I'm looking for other options. Yeah, I know... It's only $60, just $20 per year... but it's the principle.
