I had an awesome fight 2v1 with a pair of knight P51D's while I was flying cap break in an La7 at 158 today. It started with me chasing one of the 51's and a second joined in. It was the start of an awesome fight, I lost an aileron early on but the energy and excitement was something I've not experienced for a long time.
The vertical scissors was the part that stuck in my mind, Both aircraft going up, turning around almost canopy to canopy then rolling over, each trying to get guns on the other. It reminded of the scene from dogfights with the Crusader and the Mig.
I don't know where you guys went to, but when I broke to get some E back and checked my 6, I was sure I'd see you both there lining me up to finish me off, you were gone.
Just wanted to say thanks to you two whoever you are and that that even amongst a massive furball the like of which was at 158 today it is possible to find some memorable fights.
