Since I got a nice PM from ROC, let me explain that he will run MIDWAY when he has all the parts ready and not one second before.  It does no one any good to have a scenario start and get to the beta frame only to find out something is terribly broken on the map.

I still think it was funny though.  :rofl

I actually saved the banner, I liked it :)

In fact, had we not tested on the level that we did, we WOULD have gotten to beta and found the event porked.

You can ask.

:)   Yes, map was fine and worked in the AvA and a snapshot.  Problem was, those 2 areas don't typically use the capture system, and while testing the design found that the troops died in quicksand before making it to the maproom.  Tile problem.  Considering the event is designed around the preventing the Japanese from capturing the island, the inability to capture the base gave a slight advantage to the US  :D

So while the terrain tiles were fixed, some graphic issues were cleaned up by removing half the trees on the island.

Seems to me this 'feature', if applied to ALL arenas would get AH re-focused
on air combat and away from the 'capture the flag' mentality that now prevails
throughout....

Hiya GB :)  Had a great fleet battle last sunday night, thought about you :)

Yes, most of the scenarios don't have a capture element, which is why I like them so much.  Midway needs it though, as the ability to take the island is paramount to the battle.

By the way GB, a good portion of the fleets are going to be dedicated to engaging each other, with a task force hitting the beaches.

Eventually, this thing is going to need a fleet admiral ;)

Alas, I will most likely be in Europe when this runs unless it is after July 16th....

I'm all for making sure an event runs without a hitch if possible.  CMs do a great job, mostly thankless and behind the scenes.

Wish I had the time to be of service.  When I retire (not to far down the road)  I would certainly love to help the CMs in any

way that I can.  I look forward to Scenarios.  They are really what keeps me interested in Aces High.  Unfortunately for me

the Betty Ford Clinic for Scenario Rehab has stated my account is in arears and I will have to vacate the Ward.

Here's another thought.  DGS was such a success that I'm afraid that maybe now the Community might be afraid to offer

something unless it is perfect.  Don't be hesitant.....or to particular.  Object is to have fun.

Thanks CMS

Didn't feel like flying the MA the other night and ended up watching my Frame 4 of DGS film.

Oh what I'd give for that kind of intensity with a purpose in the game again :)

Just listening to the radio chatter when the first LW fighters were sighted was worth the time.  The flak burst going off as the 24s made their run.  Fighter drivers hollering at the straggler 24s to get back in the formation.  Bombs gone...Lets get these guys home.  Fighting off 109s, 190s, 262s and 163s all the way out.  The bombers are safe, it's back to get the straggler fighters out, then covering one of my own who was single engine all the way home.

Jeez that was incredibly good fun.   :aok

Yes Hajo, they kicked you out of the ward, because they needed the bed for me :)

Can't wait for the next scenario. Only question I have is will the scores be kept secret like DSG was (best idea EVER) or will we get scores after every frame?
