A6M2
« on: April 21, 2008, 12:57:03 AM »
I was flying the A6M2 tonight and noticed it doesn't have a stick.  Can that be right or was it an oversight (hard to believe) when doing the graphics?  I never noticed it before.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Thats because you've only been flying planes which have been updated since AH2 has been released.
Notice that older planes, such as the F6F, the Hurricane, the FM2, etc. Do not have sticks in the cockpit.

This is a sign that HTC is doing a good job of updating the planes.
(Excluding GVs)
P38s - 3
Ki84 - 1
B24 - 1
B17 - 1
109s - 6
P51 - 2
P47 - 4
Spits - 7
F4us - 5
190s - 4
B25 - 2
P39 - 2
Las - 2

That means 40 planes have been added/updated since AH2 was released

No.  I fly almost every plane.  I guess I just never noticed it until tonight but that explains it.

Maybe it's because my real pilot usually has a little too much saki  ;)

BANZAI

He he, I remember an air show many, many, years ago.  Two very inebriated Japanese men kept shouting "Banzai", in front of my family and I, during the reenactment of the attack on Pearl Harbor.  Pyrotechnics going off to shouts of "BANZAI".  It is very funny now, but I was worried then, because we were next to a VFW group, and I could see that each shout was making more and more of those overseas caps turn away from the action and too those two men.  So I understand that Saki, can really make you miss really important things, like the fact that you are flying without a stick.

Absolutely!
And the F6F as well ;)
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Yup the f6f is used so much that i think it would be a great candidate for an upgrade soon. Id like to see the Ju88 upgraded too.

Good point, the 88 is also a beauty within the cockpit, so an AHII upgrade would be one joy!
