5" Guns Training Arena

I can't seem to hit squat with the 5" guns, unless the planes are coming right at me.

I'm mostly talking about bombers flying in on the CV, level, maybe 5-10k alt.

I would like it if the training arena had a practice area for the 5", with the 'piper' thingy activated...know what I mean...some different drones flying here and there.

I just don't know how to lead the planes.  I've tried experimenting a couple of different ways.  Still no joy.

Some guys I know have it down, when I'm in bombers, I can see them sighting me spot on...you know, the trail going past.

Well, you can practice a little off line, but, you're right.. if you want a more accurate scenario, you'd have to have somebody fly them at you.

Now, if they added gun positions and fleets to the off-line mission editor, you could build missions with the type and directions of bombers coming at your fleet. 

THAT would be very helpful.

I seem to have trouble in the 5"-er's as well, except when cons are coming directly in, or they are about 2K-ish or less away. I <S> the guys that can gun my 8K B26's down as I'm level-bombing the CV.

DREDger, you don't need training in 5inch, you are deadly enough IMO
