Looking for specific gun camera footage
« on: February 05, 2008, 06:55:13 AM »
Rogerdee & myself have been working with a former p47 pilot & are working to do a skin of his plane. In my conversations with him he told me how the only time he had made an air to air contact during the war was a with a ME 262. The two pilots made 2 head on attacks on each other & the ME 262 took some engine hits & left the scene. The jug pilot had gun camera footage of this incident but has not seen it for many years he tried the Air force Historical Research Agency but they do not have it. So can any one help me with this question? Also I had seen a web site a long time back from a German group who were trying to find allied pilots who had incidents with 262's so they can record & link the German records with allied reports. Sadly I can't find that site now so any help will be great thanks.

Don't know the date sorry didn't think to ask. His name is Lt Joseph P Celauro 358th f/g 365th f/s. He was in the war for about the last four months of it in Europe. http://www.p47pilots.com/P47-Pilots.cfm?c=incP47BiographyHome.cfm&vm=BIO&pilotid=80&p=Joseph%20P.%20Celauro  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbZBWkh27Os
