Busa01. Plans for N1K2 skins?
« on: October 04, 2008, 09:05:56 AM »
Salute Busa,

Just wanting to know if you plan to reskin the new version of the N1K2 in the 103 yokosuka nfg scheme.  It was always my favorite.  If you do not plan to do the skin, would you mind if I did?  I am nearing the painting phase and wanted to double check with you.  I have another I can do if you plan to keep it.

Regards,

Salute ReDhAwK,

I can speak english a little.
This text is written with translation software.

The skin of Yokosuka-103,104 and NATC-No.6 was completed.
They will already be immediately submitted to HTC.
And I am also making some green skins.
They are based on the righter new historical investigation.
I think that I want you to know the right figure of N1K by AH.
I want to submit about seven skins for that purpose.
And I want to also submit the skin of some N1K1-J which can be used in special events.
If many AH players enjoy my skin, I think that it is glad.

By the way, I have the photograph of Kill mark of "343NFG."
Though regrettable, I do not have the right which exhibits it.
However, it was drawn on my old skins.
Those colors and forms are right.
And Kill marks were drawn on fuselage right side.
I will be glad if it helps you.

Since the photograph of N1K has only a small number, historical investigation is difficult.
It is necessary to use two or more sources of information also in Japan.
I can explain it.
But it is difficult to translate it.
Supposing you have a question to me, please make it a short text.

Incidentally Yo-104 must have been painted with the prototype orange.
It is a mistake although painted green with many books.

Basic information.
N1K1-J and N1K2-J were painted based on regulation of  land base airplane.
In conformity with the regulation, the undersurface was still  metal skin.
In the case of the marine duty, having painted the undersurface in "J3" gray was admitted.
In IJNAF, paint regulation was performed strictly.
The airplane of all IJNAF was painted at the airplane factory.
Even if it was the same model, the paint pattern was different for every factory.
It is for distinguishing whether the airplane was produced at which factory.
In the case of the domestic duty, the white edge was painted by the Rising-Sun of the fuselage.
In the case of the overseas duty, having erased the white edge was admitted.
(It included the duty in Okinawa) .
As for the belt of the fuselage, 343-A-15 was yellow.
All the other airplanes were white belts.

Did these become your reference?

Thank you for reading my poor English.

Regards,
busa01
