The vox adjustments don't work
« on: February 02, 2008, 03:24:52 PM »
When I choose Options>Preferences>Voice, the sliders don't have any effect when I change them.

This is most frustrating because I cannot hear most people over the engine noise.

Any thoughts?

Go to Options>Preferences>Game Sounds and turn either the master down or select Engine and turn it down with the bottom slider.

Sorry, don't know how to fix the voice sliders.

Have you tried the opposite approach?  Go to game sounds and turn the volume down on some of those.  I have most of my sounds adjusted down from default levels for comfort and voice comms.

IIRC the sliders don't adjust "real time" so you have to move them, SAVE, then try them out.

Fuzzy memory, but I recall havin' to do this once and discovering that.  I was in a mission, so it was ezy w/ all the chatter and planes about.

Backing off on the sounds does seem to have helped, thanks.
