How old were you when he won in '80?

thompson was the most unimpressive of all republican candidates.  even squeeky paul had a more commanding presence.  thompson always looked like he was either: a) falling asleep b) dead

he was a big disappointment to me.

Hmm, seems the majority of the nation does not agree with the majority of The O'Clubs political opinion.

Who's the biatch now?!?!

As an article recently said about MCain always boasting his war hero status...  "So was Benedict Arnold"

I have no respect for McCain and his "Come together, see things my way...let's work together."  He's been nothing but an obstacle since he got trounced in 2000.

Err.... No one is going to take any votes from McCain.  That implies that he is competent enough to have earned them in the first place.

People will flock to any decent candidate that runs, splitting the republican vote.

Someone in here was saying that the O'club in AH, was a cross-section of American society as a whole. And that we should be able to make election predictions' based simply on the people posting in here. Does anyone remember who that was?

If its down to McCain...guess I'm voting for the Democrat.
you could always write Ron Paul in...  :D

I am curious what happens to Romney's delegates now.  He won a couple states, do they go to the person who placed 2nd or do they become undeclared?

Romney said he was "suspending" his candidacy, that sounds like he is going to hold his delegates until the convention.

or maybe give Paul a second look?

He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

suspended his candidacy?  WTF does that mean?  I'm going to do some reading on this topic, see if I can make sense of it...
