Joystick files are in the settings folder and are suffixed by .jsm If deleted, you'll lose your input assignments. Have you tried calibrating your input devices? Under the advanced option of joystick set-up you can also tweak your axis sliders as well as damping and deadband.

What joystick are you using?

i'm using CH fighterstick. i calibrate in windows and in game. sometimes everything is okay, sometimes not. my controls are plugged into a powered usb hub, and the stick is the only thing that gives me problem. its like my controls are "mushy", or sluggish.

Just for laughs, try it without the powered hub and see what happens. If the problem still persists, you'll probebly need to clean oe replace the "pots" (potentiometers) found in the joystick base. Before taking things apart, give CH Products tech support a call.

Good luck

Found this diddy on the CH forum FAQ's

CH Products recommends you use an add-on PCI card to get the best results from your CH devices but you can use a USB hub as long as it's a powered one i.e it has it's own power supply unit to ensure that all USB ports on the hub are providing a steady and correct voltage to each device. It is important to remember that even if you have your CH Products controllers plugged into a USB port built onto your motherboard, a poor quality PSU or USB controller on your motherboard may cause your CH Products controllers to behave erratically.
