I have 88 Corvette 16"x9.5" wheels on my 98 Firebird, and I think they may just be the best looking wheel for that era F-body. They fit the wheel wells perfectly, I have Falken 255/50/16 Z series tires on it, they don't rub, they ride great, handle great, they're quiet, and they stick even in the rain. I know a guy who put 18" wheels on his Camaro, in 20,000 miles damned near everything in it rattled because the car rode so rough. To each his own, but you couldn't GIVE me a set of 18" wheels and tires for mine.

Are these the wheels you're talking about Virgil?  If they are... they are some of my favorite Vette wheels too...

Mine are from the previous generation, about 2-4 years earlier. And they are a direct bolt on, they even use the stock lugs. I like those wheel too.

Interesting you should say that.  Having driven the 3.8 for 10 years I'd have thought getting into a Z28 would have rattled my fillings out.  I've found the ride to be much softer than I thought it would be.  I plan on going tires of 35 series height and not 30's.  275 fronts, 295 rears, although the rears may have to be 30's.

Same wheels on a C6 although I think these are 19/front 20/rear:

I'm pretty sure this is the wheel he's talking about.  I think these were the best C4 wheels.  They'd probably look great on a Camaro too.

Well, I just ordered the wheels.  18 x 9.5's for the front and 18 x 10.5's for the rears.  Shopping for tires now.

No, mine are closer to the first image than the second. Mine have the real  narrow directional cooling fins, and the smooth flat center. They're part of the first generation of 16" directional wheels.

Although your exact wheels aren't shown, try the http://www.tirerack.com and use their 'Shopping Tool' to show the wheels/car combos.

Thanks Suburo, I had seen that before but TR unfortunately doesn't carry the C6's that I wanted to get.  Too bad though as they show the S.A.P. kit on their LS1 Camaros, a rare thing.
