Sinking your own Cruiser with a 5"?
« on: February 01, 2008, 06:45:03 PM »
I was gunning on the carrier earlier, and while no enemies were around, I hear this 5" next to me start going off.  So I look around to find out what it is shooting at and find out that a country mate is shooting it at our own cruisers.  Next thing I know, the cruiser is going down.  Is it really possible to sink your own cruiser with the 5"?  And if so, why was my country mate shooting at it?  Can this be reported?

I've never heard of that. Very strange, did you get any film?

I didn't get it on film but I checked my range channel to see who it was and I saw a name, but I don't know for sure if it was him or not.  I guess that could have been someone in the air nearby.

That's true, I never thought of that, might have been a 8" hitting it...

does that work? always wondered if any of the guns/cannons on a cruiser could detonate a torp, they run pretty shallow.

Is this applicable to the dual 5" turrets only? Or can it also be applied to the single 5" guns also?
