Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

I can't remember which plane George W Bush  flew, it was either the F-106 or F-102.  It was a delta-wing though.

Probably the '106, they never saw combat either.

Didn't the F-102 become the F-106?

106 from the same company but a different bird.

Lets get back to Phantoms :)

Up close and personal from a 57th FIS F4E

Of course the Navy F4Bs were there too.  Although that's a Badger I believe

The F4Js got into the mix of course

And the RAF Phantoms as well.  Gotta love that F4 :)

If you want something scary here it is. I heard that Russia has paid off their debt, They have lowered their tax rates which has paid off big for them. On the other hand you have the US who has raised rates and continues to spend trillions it hasn't got. I think the cold war was won because we out spent them and they couldn't keep up. Apparently it wasn't a wasted lesson on the Russians.

IIRC at least two F-106s were shot down over Vietnam. I always wondered what they were doing there.

A beautiful huge aircraft.

F-102s got shot down over 'Nam, but AFAIK the DD was never combat deployed. It was meant to be a high-speed interceptor and wasn't very maneuverable. Was meant to shoot down Russian Bombers, not escort ours.

I've never heard of F-106's being deployed to Vietnam.
