Ok, last gasp ideas for a fix.

Assume you've tried enabling/disabling the EHCI option in the USB config?

Maybe try disabling/enabling legacy usb support in the bios.

If you're still getting the USB Controller Error you could try downloading the Chipset/USB host drivers for your MB and installing them under the VM if it will let you.

Other than that, no more bright ideas at this point.

I havent tried the Bios thing..

but the USB controller not being detected is not a problem anymore. Turns out that the vbox needed the host to have the vbox usb installed first. Thats taken care of.

So far EVERYTHING is all installed properly.. its just that when the program tells the computer to access the USB to use the camera it locks up

thanks but im trying to avoid having to purchase stuff to get this working. VMware is not freeware

Sure it is, Look for vmware server, or vmware player.
you just have to register to get it.

But i am almost sure it wont do what you need either.

I havent tried yours yet since from what I read it wont allow me to:

Plug my usb camera onto the pc with winxp64.

use winxp32 machine to run the program and access the winxp64 machine's usb and have the camera WORK

Right?
