Airscrew, with all due respect, I've tried Shiner...it tastes like burnt hops. I think the attraction to it is something of a local cult favorite moreso than taste. Reminds me of the cult favorite around this area years ago called "Rainier Beer'...tasted like crap, but people honored it like a God since it was locally brewed. :huh

I really do like Bud Light. Tastes a lot like Fat Tire which I also like. Has a "biscuity" taste.
Here we put salt on Margaritas, not sidewalks.

I feel as though I've met a Father of the Catholic Church that has been found guilty of child molestation. :(  Please tell me you like microbrews...perhaps I can think of you like Rock Hudson in his prime. ;)

I don't get out a lot but there are a few joints around North Texas that claim their own brews. BJ's (restaurant)has some good ones, I like the Killian Red. Can't even remember the names of some of the others but most were tasty.

...and when we're gone from here
all our friends will be drinking all the beer

Everybody has their own tastes, I like Shiner Bock, I cant say it tastes like burnt hops though, closest thing to german beer I tasted brewed in the states...  I have had Rainier before when I was stationed in Idaho and my ex-wife is from Oregon... Rainier, the beer you buy when you dont have enough money for real beer...
Actually a cult favorite here is or was Lone Star, I know because I used to drink it back in the late 70's and early 80's,  until I got out of Texas and found good beer... everyonce in awhile I get nostalgic and think about buying a 6 pack to see how it tastes...I just cant bring myself to do it...

I have about 10 gallons (5 cases bottled) of a wonderful bock, right in my basement.  Simple brown bottles, not even a label to speak of ( it is a white avery label that say s Bock with the bottling date).  It doesn't last too long around here to bother with fancy names and labels.  9.5%.  Did the Original and final gravity arithmetic myself.  Quite a warmer.  I wish you lived closer to Philly.  I'd pour you a glass myself.  No being fooled here.

English biscuit malt might be the cause for that.  As far as drinking Scud light, I'll leave that up to you, my friend!

By the way, hops don't burn well.  I tried some Hallertaur in the bong, and it stank to high heavens.  Can you imagine?  And it was even a "noble" hop that I tried.

(Hey don't laugh, at least I can say I tried)
