I've got a small collection of biographies.  I like to read them on the beach in the summer.

My favourite was saburo sakai's, but First light (geoffery Wellum) and tempest pilot (C. sheridan) are both very good.  Johnnie Johnson, al deere.

My biggest disappointment so far was Galland's book I was hoping for an insight into the Axis viewpoint but got nothing but luftweenie chest thumping of how great the luftwaffe were :t

I've got 3 on my desk that need to be read.  Some US accounts saving them for now.

I should get something up on our website like a book review kind of thing.

There are some great tales out there that cost very little to read.  If anyone gets burn't out of AH I suggest they go find them to re light their passion.

According to records i've seen 7 Americans took part in the BofB and 1 died.

An extreme minority but if that books tells us all about them I'll buy it.

We have 1 Active American in our squad in honour of the above.  He is truly a class act and a great stick.

I found the book was more interesting and offered a great viewpoint of the luftwaffe pilots, from the easy days of France and Poland to final days of allied bombing.

I don't recall anywhere in the book where he describes any fighter action that he himself participated in.

More of a luftwaffe walkthrough of the war as a whole.

I've read "The Few" about 5 times. Excellent book.

Its a shame noones heard of most of those guys- only ones I was familiar with were Red, Shorty and Andy Mamedoff. The other four I'd never heard of.
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

Does that mean I can have your sheep herd Vans? I already have names for them but willing to take suggestions. Top 5 rule.
Let me do nothing to bring shame or disgrace on my family, my comrades, my unit, my country. Let me conduct myself in such a manner that there is no dishonor. Let me not be wasted, but if I die, let me die like a soldier should.

Goto Google and type in "French military victories", then hit "I'm feeling lucky".
Here lie these men on this sun scoured atoll,
The wind for their watcher, the wave for their shroud,
Where palm and pandanus shall whisper forever,
A requiem fitting for heroes
