Can't remember which AC it was, but i do remember thinking that this Aces thing couldn't be that great if D/L was only 4mb, how wrong i was

After Air Warrior went out of business, I took some time off from online play.

I downloaded AH after a few months and practiced offline so when I subcribed I wouldn't be such a noob.

Sometime later, I kicked in my subscription and ROX was on....

It churned me out a knight, and I picked a P38 and upped.

It WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!

I had inadvertantly upped as a 40+ plane mission was upping. Back then it got WAY darker for awhile than it does now...and there I was, with AWESOME graphics, surrounded by green icons everywhere!!!!

Spitfire of some sort/ saw a green icon/flew in and he acted like he never even saw me/ kill shot myself/started asking dumb questions.

My first sortie was in a 51D because i just HAD to up one because it was the, as someone stated earlier, best fighter of WW2. Funny, how the first kills i landed was in a 190A8 (3 kills on the NDisles map in TT:D )

No, but I imagine it was much like most of my sorties to date. At least until my credit card maxed out and I lost my access.

I took off, probably in a P51, enjoyed the scenery and wowed at the thought that all those dots out there were real people just like me. Fiddled with the views, test fired the gun, did a roll or two and had a bit of fun. Saw some red icons, flew toward them. Suddenly there was lot of machine gun fire. I start to turn but find myself back in the tower feeling irritated.
Rinse and repeat.

Sigh!

My first sortie was offline. I stalled trying to climb too quickly and died.

First online sortie was with P-47N. HO'd some people and then got blasted by some butt munch in a pony.
