Need some help configuring my router
« on: February 20, 2008, 09:29:47 PM »
Ok...I havent played in a while but I am trying to jump back in.  Problem is I have a new connection and a new router involved.  On my old router it was easy...open up the web page, punch in the numbers and it was good to go.  This is a fancy new wireless network & router combo thing.  I have my desktop hardwired to the router/DSL modem and have been trying to open up the correct ports but I cannot connect to the host.

My modem is a 2Wire Gateway provided to me by AT&T/SBC DSL.  Anyone else out there using this equipment and what did you have to do in order to get a connection?  I have used the software to access the settings and opened up the ports according to Skuzzy's post stickied at the top of this forum but still no luck.

Help?

It may not be the router. If you're using a firewall, you'll probably need to tell it o let Aces High through again.

Did you reload from the old game or dcownload a new version?
Awhile back the host address' changed and the old wouldnt work. You may need a new download, keeping the settings folder from old so you have your old settings.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

That was going to be my next step Fuze.

I double checked all of the Firewall settings this morning and still no luck.

I will try new install tonight and see if that fixes me up.

Sweet....all set.  Now I just have to find my trusty old Saitek and hope the drivers for it are still installed on this computer.  Then fire off an email to HTC and try to get my old login back.
