I have it
I also work for verizon and install it.
Its the best by far, way more bang for your buck. I have the 15/2 internet package and fios video with the movie package. I also have my pho0ne service.
total monthy chrg is 190.00 when I had time weeeener the cable alone cost me 140.00
My advice to you be this: if you are getting the dvr either hi-def or the standard def pay the extra $5 for the multi room feature. that way you can watch your recorded shows on up to 2 standard stb's at the same time. or watch 1 show on one and someone else can watch another show on the 2nd ANd someone can be watching whatever they want on the DVR. We are also going to be adding several new features in the next few month's

pm me if you have any further questions or email me a dallastek@gmail.com
Crap now I gotta redo my cool sig.....crap!!! I cant remeber how to do it all !!!!!

I have FioS Internet, TV and Phone. The internet service is far better than anything I have ever had. The latency is lower also (which made a big difference in AH) No slowdown based on the neighborhood traffic as in cable. The picture quality of TV is better than Comcast  cable or DirecTV. (Just switched from DirecTV) The high def picture is especially steller. The DVR will not hold as much as the DirecTV DVR (in part I supposed because they use less compression on the signal) and the hard drive is smaller. It also doesn't support slapping an external SATA drive on like DirecTV. I like the menu  better than DirecTV though... but TiVo was my favorite.

Hmmm.... what else. Price wise it is about the same for me... maybe a little cheaper. I bundled everything together on one bill... including cell phone. Cost me bucks to break contract with DirecTV... but they gave me a free HD LCD TV.

Botton line, best TV, best Internet (both in quality and availability), not the best DVR. Oh yeah... and they have a ton on SD shows on demand (something DirecTV can't do) No HD yet though... but it is coming. My kids watch on demand cartoons whenever they get a chance. They also have a multiroom DVR, though it only works with SD right now. You can record on one TV and watch on another. Anyway... I love it... just hope my rates don't get jacked too high in a few years. Future looks bright too... they really have unlimited bandwidth for TV once the implement IPTV, so you'd think in the long run they have an advantage there. If I were one of the Dishes or cable I'd be worried.

Wait? You WORK for Verizon, install their service (and presumably trouble shoot it) yet you pay 190 bucks a month for it? They make you sign the two year contract?

Man, they saw you comin'.

I work for the third largest Cable ISP/provider in the country and my monthly bill for EVERY channel, including On Demand movies, premium movie tier channels AND every HD Channel available is about 40 bucks a month! Oh, I forgot; thats with 2 HDDVRs, 12mb internet service and telephone service with unlimited long distance. Only reason I pay that is because Uncle Sam says that nobody can give away telephone service for free. :)

Guess Verizon is passing the buck off to its employees. That must stink ;)

:aok
Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.

Even Comcast wants you to sign your life away for a year now.
So thats pretty much a wash.
I have it. I like it.
