If you like it - I can put several albums on the web for you to download.
Letov was a poet. Minimalistic sound, poetry unleashed. Not exactly a "punk rock" as it was in the West, just "thee chord revolutionaries" with Yegor and his quite complicated verses. He was a poet of everyday pain, existential Communist, who wanted "happiness, free, for everyone, and may no one leave unsatisfied" (Счастья, для всех, даром,и пусть никто не уйдёт обиженым!) - it's a quote from Strugatsky brothers "Roadside Picnic" (А. и Б. Стругацкие, "Пикник на обочине", 1972), a book that inspired a Stalker computer game.
Back in the 80s they (Grazhdanskaya oborona, "Civilian defense") made records on cheap cassette-recorders and they were spread all over the Union by people sharing tapes.
Yegor was officially declared "mentally ill" and spent some time in a mental hospital. Fortunately - they didn't cure him.
