The Guardian Angels were formed in August of 2007 by our founders kilz CO and Reapr. We are very proud of our name and all of our squad members, who we refer to as friends and brothers in arms.
We strive to train our members to be the best they can be and that means training and lots of it.
Being a Guardian Angel means hold your head high as you are part of an elite team. That strives to hand our adversaries their heads and have them run for cover. Once we decide to take a base we tenaciously keep coming back until our objective has been filled. We do this as a very organized team complete with mission plans and many other tools given to the 173rd members. Lastly, we are more concerned about a potential members attitude than your ability to play the game. So, if your 24 years of age and enjoy a strong team atmosphere.
Read the rules and expectations below. You may post your contact info here or email me at medic341@gmail.com
173RD GUARDIAN ANGELS RULES AND EXPECTATIONS
1. - Minimum age to fly with the Guardian Angels is 24 years of age. This is not chiseled in stone
we do make exceptions on a case by case basis. Our C.O. and X.O. will review your case if you
under the age requirement.
2. - Always act as a representative of the 173rd Guardian Angels and treat all with respect.
If you have a problem with ANYONE, Private Message (P.M.) on radio buffer (use .p "name" (do not use quotes e.g. .p Kilz) any of the officers in the chain of command. Start with the lowest rank and they will take over the situation. Do not reply back to the offending player. If any player(s) are verbally abusive and no officer is around, use the reporting tool on the clip board. Reporting tool is on the clipboard and by right clicking a player, scroll down to the proper command.
3. - Being active in the squad is mandatory as is registering on the 173rd web site and BBS (Forums). The bulletin boards contain a huge amount of information on squad operations and future plans. Votes on
different issues and ideas are frequently posted here as are just good ol' chat. It is STRONGLY recommended that you check in and have a look weekly. This is considered squad activity even if you are not activily flying in AH.
4. -If you are going to be away let us know. This can be posted on the BBS, P.M. or by email. No need to explain any details other that you will be away. A time frame would be nice but not required.
5. -If we do not hear from you for a month you will be placed on the squads inactive list and at 60
days you will be removed from the squad.
6. -Take part in training when you can, we have experts in every machine offered in AH.
Take advantage of this as it is given to you by pros that want to share their knowledge.
This gives you an opportunity to share your Strengths, Techniques, and Abilities, that can be beneficial to the whole team. We count on each other to help a fellow squadmate, complete missions, and training.
7. -Attendance for squad nights is a must unless you made arrangements with an officer that you will not be attending. We all pay to play and have a life outside of gaming, so let's make our time enjoyable. Please refer to #4 if you cannot make it.
8. -Confidentiality is extremely important to us. So anything you choose to share with an officer will be held in strict confidence.
9. -Again the 173rd understands that you pay to play. So, if its not squad night do as you wish, i.e.
fly off channel with a buddy or go to a different country. Just P.M. an officer and let them know. If an officer is not available, let your team mates know your intentions. Generally youll find the squad members like to stick with the squad.
10. -If you choose to fly with the squad on a none squad night be prepared to take orders from the
officer in command. Generally non squad nights are pretty relaxed with members all over the map but normally we tend to mission up together. It is more fun when flying with your team mates. Hell, thats why we play the game, TO HAVE FUN.
11. -The 173rd flies on vox 137, while communicating on squad channel say what you wish. When the Officer in charge (OIC) is on mic, please refrain from using vox until mic is cleared; normally once in the air after orders have been given. However, if communicating on open channel (Channel 200) remember you are representing the 173rd. Treat all with respect even if they piss you off, report it to the officer and they will take care of it. Refer to # 2 above.
12. -The 125th uses vox 130 during their squad night. If no one from the 173rd is online, look for the 125th Spartans and join them as they are the sister squadron to the 173rd. They are to be treated as a squad member. The Commanding Officer for the 125th is SWRokit. Introduce yourself and ask if you can help out.
13. -Whining, complaining and making false accusations all set a bad example, DONT DO IT !
14. -If at any time a squad member calls for help DITCH IMMEDIATELY, even if you have 5 kills
under your belt. Unless your in a do or die situation yourself or youve upped a perk plane and
cant afford to loose the perk points.
15. -They're is a probationary period of two weeks to see how we work together. At the end of your
probation the recruitment officer will post a poll in the squad only forums to get the rest of the squads feelings about you. After that, the C.O. and the X.O. will discuss it and make a decision. Then on the next squad night if you were successful, we will announce you as a 173rd Guardian Angel.
